Next-day power prices in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas were up about 14% Monday as natural gas at the Houston Ship Channel traded at a three-week high and wind generation was forecast to weaken. ERCOT North Hub day-ahead on-peak was valued in the upper $20s/MWh Monday morning on the Intercontinental Exchange for Tuesday delivery, $3.50 higher than the Friday settle. Houston Ship Channel spot gas jumped 21 cents day on day to $2.340/MMBtu for Tuesday flow, the highest it has traded since October 8.
