PJM, MISO dailies mixed as natural gas climbs, demand holds steady

Mid-Atlantic and Midcontinent power dailies were mostly higher Wednesday as natural gas prices jumped and power demand was forecast flat to lower. In the PJM Interconnection, PJM West Hub day-ahead on-peak ticked up 25 cents to the mid-$20s/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange for Thursday delivery. NI Hub day-ahead on-peak was valued in the mid-$20s/MWh, about $2.25 higher on the day. In contrast, AD Hub day-ahead on-peak fell around 25 cents to be valued in the upper $20s/MWh on ICE. Spot gas prices were stronger across the region. Texas Eastern M-3 gained 29 cents to $1.950/MMBtu, while Chicago city-gates added 15 cents to $2.110/MMBtu for Thursday flow.
