AWEA says US added 5.944 GW of wind capacity in Q4, sees continued corporate demand

The US wind market closed out 2018 with a bang, installing 78% of theyear's new wind capacity during the fourth quarter as projects cameonline to meet both utility and corporate demand.The US added 5.944 GW of wind capacity in the fourth quarter of2018, bringing the country's installations for the year to 7.588 GW,according to the American Wind Energy Association. The surge ofinstallations in the last three months of 2018 bested the industry's Q4installations from the year before of 4.125 GW.
