Frigid weather, higher natural gas prices and lighter wind outputboosted power prices year over year in Southwest Power Pool thisFebruary, but a split in the weather between the northern and southernregions made for mixed month-to-month changes, an S&P GlobalPlatts analysis shows.Meanwhile, forward markets would indicate some continuedstrength through March, at least in comparison with March 2018,largely in response to forecasts for continued below-normaltemperatures across most of the region.
