UK-based renewable hydrogen supplier Octopus Hydrogen is targeting5-to-10-year power purchase agreements at “a few pounds” abovetypical market rates of GBP43-45/MWh ($57-$60/MWh) for itselectrolysis projects, CEO Will Rowe said Dec. 2 at the ReutersHydrogen Economy Europe 2021 conference.Referencing onshore wind PPAs of around GBP43/MWh and solarPPAs of GBP44-45/MWh, Rowe said the company could afford to paymore than the base level that would be achieved otherwise.
