摘要

US gasoline inventory draws likely extended in the week ended May 21, analysts surveyed by S&P Global Platts said May 24, amid rising demand and an expected pullback in refinery runs. Total US gasoline stocks are expected to have declined around 700,000 barrels last week to around 233.5 million barrels, analysts said. The draw would leave stocks around 2.7% behind the five-year average of US Energy Information Administration data, out from 2.2% the week prior, opening the widest deficit since the week ended April 2. The expected draw comes amid a continued recovery in gasoline demand. Apple mobility data shows US driving activity up around 3% on the week at 146.5% of baseline, marking the highest level since the index was launched in January 2020.
