1.1Prices in the California Independent System Operator for April 6 delivery were mixed April 5 as Los Angeles was forecast gusty sundowner winds up to 35-50 mph, according to the US National Weather Service. 1.2SP15 on-peak day-ahead prices slid about 75 cents to trade around $26.75/MWh, and NP15 surged about $3.25 to price around $35/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange. 1.3Cal-ISO peakload demand day on day rose 2.1% to 27.1 GW, from 26.5 GW. 1.4Renewable supply in the Cal-ISO for April 4 was mixed, with solar generation down 18.9% to 93.6 GWh, and wind supply rising 5.9% to 74.6 GWh. 2.1Northwest prices for April 6 delivery rose as renewable supply in the Bonneville Power Administration slid; Hydro supply fell 6.7% to 139.9 GWh, and thermal supply tripped 13.9% to 24.5 GWh. 2.2Mid-Columbia on-peak day-ahead soared about $2 to trade around $36/MWh, and California-Oregon Border followed suit to jump around $2 to price around $39.75/MWh on ICE. 2.3Mid-C May on-peak forwards rose about 50 cents to trade around $19.50/MWh on ICE.
