New York utility regulators acted on three power transmission projectsaimed at speeding the flow of renewable electricity and easingcongestion into high-demand markets in the southern part of thestate, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo."These projects are essential to helping create our new greenenergy superhighway that will move electricity to high demand areasefficiently while also reducing costs and helping to create new jobs,"Cuomo said late Feb. 11 in an emailed statement.
