Europe said to be favored destination for supplies from proposed Plaquemines LNG

Venture Global LNG expects more than half of the supplies produced at its proposed 20 million mt/year Plaquemines LNG export facility in Louisiana to go to Europe, based on discussions with existing and potential buyers, co-CEO Mike Sabel said Sept. 17. While a final investment decision has yet to be declared for the facility - the second of three planned by the developer - commercial talks continue and progress has been made, Sabel said during an energy summit sponsored by the US Department of Energy that was broadcast online.
