Northwest power day-ahead falls Wednesday as hydro generation predicted to rise

Northwestern power day-ahead traded down on the Intercontinental Exchange Wednesday on a stronger supply outlook. Mid-Columbia on-peak for Thursday delivery fell about $5 to price around $16/MWh, down 23% on the day. The corresponding off-peak package slid about $1 to price around $17/MWh, rising above on-peak for the first time since January 31.
