China suspends plan to impose extra tariffs on US energy, agricultural products

China has suspended its plan to impose additional tariffs on a list of US goods–including propane, corn and wheat–slated to have been implemented December 15, the State Council’s Tariff Commission said. Due to the outcome of talks between China and the US on economic and trade issues, the commission has decided temporarily not to implement tariffs on some US-origin goods, it said in a statement Sunday on the Ministry of Finance website.
