Northeast daily power prices retreated Wednesday on lower peakload expectations and lower spot gas prices. In the New York Independent System Operator footprint, NYISO Zone J NYC on-peak day-ahead locational marginal price shed $5.75 into the mid-$30s/MWh for Thursday delivery, according to the ISO Zone G HVL on-peak fell $3.25 into the low $30s/MWh, as Zone A West on-peak lost $1.75 into the upper $20s/MWh.
