US natural gas in storage decreased 81 Bcf to 2.533 Tcf for the weekthat ended January 11, the US Energy Information Administrationreported Thursday. The withdrawal was more than an S&P GlobalPlatts’ survey of analysts calling for a 77-Bcf pull. Survey responseswere wide and ranged from a draw of 60 Bcf to 100 Bcf.The withdrawal was much less than the 208-Bcf pull reportedduring the corresponding week in 2017, as well as the five-year-average draw of 218 Bcf, according to EIA data.
