Linc produces first liquid fuel from CBM

Linc Energy has produced its first hydrocarbon liquid fuelnfrom coal at its Chinchilla gas-to-liquids demonstrationnplant in Queensland, Australia, and plans to scale up toncommercial volumes of production within the next year.nLinc managing director, Peter Bond, said the companyncould eventually supply much of Australia’s 1 millionnbarrel/day consumption of oil products. “It is notninconceivable that Linc Energy could start producing anlarge proportion of that need and, in the long term overnthe next decade or so, replace all of it in terms of dieselnand jet fuel,” said Bond.
