Ghana to pass oil law in fourth quarter

Ghana plans to pass a new oil law and have it in place ahead of the start of production from the Jubilee field to ensure regulatory oversight and revenue transparency in the sector. Moses Asagra, chairman of the parliamentary committee for energy affairs, said the bill has already been debated in parliament and that a meeting with stakeholders, including the partners in the Jubilee project, had been scheduled.
