Explorers scope Botswana's coal export options

Botswana's relatively untouched coal resources are starting to attract intense international interest, as exploration companies embark on studies to delineate the quality and quantity of the country's extensive coal resources and to plan possible export routes. Hodges Resources is one of these exploration companies. The Australian-listed firm in November released a report announcing it had proved up an initial 110 million mt measured coal resource for its Morupule South project in the southeast of Botswana.
