Single bidder wins Brazil's Libra subalt round

Brazilian officials and oil industry figures declared the country's first subsalt bid round under the new "profit share" model a success in October, although there was only one final bidder. A consortium of Petrobras with 40%, Total and Shell with 20% each and Chinese state companies CNPC and CNOOC with 10% each won the right to develop the Libra subsalt field in Brazil's Santos Basin under a 35-year contract.
