Liquid Air - the new energy vector

Liquid air is an energy storage technology with multiple applications. The need for such a technology is a direct result of the build out of renewables. It should, its advocates argue, deliver significant system-wide efficiency gains. But, like any new technology, it needs support, and it needs it now, if it is to move to commercial deployment before problems associated with renewables become more acute.
