As key decisions approach on the Southern Gas Corridor, strategic goals are facing some overdue hard-headed commercial scrutiny. Although a decision in favour of TAP is likely, leaving open the possibility of Nabucco West later, the costs of the giant Trans-Anatolian Pipeline are spiralling. Without a Final Investment Decision on TANAP and its Azeri supply base, the end sections may never be built.
