EU carbon rebounds from nine-month low

The price of carbon dioxide allowances under the EU Emissions Trading System rebounded in April, having crashed to a nine-month low in late March. The price of EU Allowances for delivery in December 2014 climbed as high as €5.78/mt ($8.00/mt) by the close April 24, up from €4.41/mt March 28, according to Platts assessments. EUAs for December 2014 delivery fell back to around €5.20/mt April 25, as traders took profit on the gains seen since late March.
