The oil and gas industry is increasingly moving into power generation, particularly gas-fired, but it isrnalso pushing back against all-out electrification with a resurgent vision for a hydrogen economy.rnChoosing the energy technologies of the future is very much an “all of the above” strategy fraughtrnwith uncertainty. But if natural gas is the ‘bridge fuel’ in the transition to low carbon energy systems,rnhydrogen may prove a long-term replacement for fossil fuels.
