Incentives for renewables in 2010 weighed €3.3 billion on Italian energy bills, according to the 2010 report of the Energy Services Manager (GSE), published October 18. Of the total, €800 million went to solar PV projects (for over 2 TWh produced), while €1.8 billion were spent on green certificates issued by the GSE for electricity production from other renewable sources. During 2010, the GSE received nearly 90,000 requests for incentives for new PV plants in operation, with over 2,300 MW of installed power. Mabo Group and Enfinity Italia have signed a €300 million agreement to install 100 MWp of solar PV over the period 2011-2012. In a statement issued by Enfinity Italia on October 26, the PV project developer said that the PV systems would be implemented on roofs, as part of a JV with the Arezzo-based company.
