Mild weather has been pulling prompt gas down in the UK through November to the 11th, with within-day gas down to 53 pence/therm that day (from over 60 p/th October 31) as the system operated about 40 million cubic meters long. Temperatures across the UK were 3-4 degrees Celsius above seasonal norms November 11, with forecast gas demand down 26 million cu m from November 10 to 245 million cu m. Day ahead has also dipped from late October levels, to 56 p/th from 59 p/th, although a forecast for a colder week ahead supported the contract November 11. The front month and quarter were at 63.05 p/th and 65.15 p/th that day, down a few pence on end-October levels, while further out contracts were supported by rising oil prices. Summer and Winter 12 were trading at 61.00 p/th and 72.25 p/th midday November 11 compared to 62.65 p/th and 72.70 p/th October 31. Summer 13 meanwhile was quoted at 64.15 p/th November 11 vs 64.45 p/th October 31.
