GESY-Green Energy Systems plans to market 3 GW of wind capacity in 2012, or about 10% of Germany's wind energy fleet, outside the feed-in tariff system. As of September, 2,575 MW of German onshore wind capacity is being marketed outside the feed-in tariff system, using the so-called green privilege mechanism (P/£ 594/8), according to TSOs Tennet, Amprion, 50Hertz and EnBW Transportnetze. Since the conditions for the green privilege mechanism will be less attractive from next year, GESY -a new cooperation between 20 renewable energy operators and municipal-owned energy company Trianel intends to make use of the new renewables market premium system that takes effect from 2012.
