Contract prices on the UK's NBP gas trading hub moved in a tight range in the morning session November 9 on thin liquidity, a comfortable system and fairly stable oil prices. At midday in London, the within-day contract was valued at 64.60 pence/therm, and day-ahead gas at 64.70 p/th. These levels were well down on those seen two weeks earlier - when both with-day and day-ahead were over 67 p/th. "Demand has continued to fall with the warming temperatures to 237 million cubic meters, below the seasonal norm demand of 255 million cu m, with the system opening up slightly oversupplied," a market analyst said November 9.
