EIA for Gulf di Gela wind farm

The Ministry of Environment has issued a positive Environmental Impact Assessment with conditions to Mediterranean Offshore Wind for its 136.8 MW wind farm project in the Gulf of Gela. The decree, dated September 27, was published October 31 by the Ministry. The project involves installation of 38 x 3.6-MW turbines capable of producting 315 GWh/yr. The site is two nautical miles off the coast of Sicily.
