摘要

Booming sales of electric cars in Norway have led some environmentalists to suggest banning new petrol and diesel-driven cars from the Norwegian market by the end of the decade. At end-July there were over 13,000 EVs on Norwegian roads, twice as many as a year earlier, and four times as many as two years ago. The country has more electric cars, in proportion to its population, than any other. To encourage the trend, the government has offered many incentives to electric car owners - including lower taxes, free parking in towns and cities, free passage on ferries and through toll roads and tunnels, and the right to drive in collective lanes normally reserved for taxis and buses.
