I-SEM testing curtailed to preserve go-live

Participants in the all-island Irish power market have been denied additional market testing in September ahead of go-live of the Integrated Single Electricity Market (I-SEM) on October 1. Transmission system operators Eirgrid (Ireland) and SONI (NI) have pushed back on I-SEM participant requests for more testing, with market organizers saying “cutover” preparations for power exchange auctions must take precedence.
