Poland will hold its first capacity market auction on November 15 for capacity delivered in 2021, the energy ministry said September 4. "The capacity market ensures stable energy supplies to households and industry in the long term thanks to which every consumer in the country will be able to benefit from electricity on time and in the volumes they need," the ministry said in a statement. "It is also the most cost-efficient way to ensure the right amount of capacity because the capacity is contracted through an auction in which individual power suppliers will compete with each other."
