Gazprom will pay the Russian government just Rb 931 million ($29.88 million) for four licences with a combined resources of 18.2 billion barrels of oil and 3.6 trillion cubic metres of gas, according to July 13 report by Prime-Tass. According to the report, the Russian state controlled gas giant paid Rb 353.4 million for the West Kamchatka shelf licence, which contains prospective resources of 13.1 billion barrels of oil and 2.3 trillion cubic metres of gas) and Rb 577.6 million for three Sakhalin-3 licences (including Rb 193.3 million for the Kirinsky block, Rb 151.8 million for the Ayashsky block and Rb 232.5 million for the East Odoptu block), which hold 1.3 trillion cu m of gas and 5.1 billion barrels of oil resources.
