PPC applies for 200-MW PV plant

Greece's state-controlled power company PPC has submitted an application to build what would be Europe's largest solar photovoltaic power plant at its West Macedonian lignite mining centre in Kozani, northern Greece. Iliako Velos I, a 100% subsidiary of PPC Renewables, has applied for a production license from energy regulator RAE for a 200-MW plant, the utility said in an Athens stock exchange notice December 13.
