Aksa launches 190-MW gas unit

Turkish power producer Aksa Enerji announced October 10 the commissioning of the final 190-MW unit of its 1,150-MW AN Metin Kazanci combined cycle gas turbine plant at Antalya in southern Turkey. The new unit brings Aksa's total installed capacity to 1,977 MW, it said in a disclosure to the Istanbul stock exchange. Aksa Enerji, the energy arm of the industrial group Kazanci Holding, commissioned a 110-MW steam turbine at the plant in September.
