Ukraine's State Property Fund plans to sell 60% stakes in regional power distributors Kharkivoblenergo, Khmelnytskoblenergo and Mykolayivoblenergo to strategic investors and offer another 5% of shares in each company on the stock exchange, according to an April 3 report by Interfax. VS Energy International, one of the largest players on the country's electricity distribution market, is the favourite to buy the stakes in Khmelnytskoblenergo and Mykolayivoblenergo, as it already owns minority stakes in both, according to Kiev-based brokerage Dragon Capital.
