EC adopts list of cross-border ‘projects of common interest’

PCIs are defined as strategically important cross-border infrastructureeligible for financial support under the EU’s Connection Europe Facility.The list includes 67 projects in electricity transmission andstorage, 20 in gas, six CO_2 network projects and five smart gridprojects, the EC said.The list is now submitted to the European Parliament and the EUCouncil, which have two months to accept or reject it.No new gas infrastructure projects are on the list, the EC said.
