France pre-selects 10 bidders for 250 MW floating wind tender

France has preselected 10 bidders for the tender for a 250 MW floatingoffshore wind farm offshore southern Brittany, the energy ministry saidSept. 16. Bidders include oil companies Shell, TotalEnergies, Equinorand Eni as well as utilities like EDF, RWE and Engie that have formedvarious consortia often with floating wind specialists.A public consultation has been completed for a 130 sq km areabetween Belle Ile and Ile de Groix with a second area for 500 MW to betendered in future.
