PKN Orlen targets 50,000 mt/yr hydrogen production by 2030

Poland’s largest refiner PKN Orlen is targeting renewable hydrogenproduction capacity in 2030 of 50,000 mt/year, it said June 14.To achieve this the company is planning to build six renewableenergy powered hydrogen hubs, three in Poland, two in the CzechRepublic and one in Slovakia.“The Orlen Group’s bold and innovative projects implemented inPoland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia can make it central Europe’sleader in hydrogen fuel,” PKN’s CEO Daniel Obajtek said in a statement.
