PGE signs $338-mil contract to build 180 MW gas-fired CHP

Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) has signed a contract to build a 179.4MWe, 162.9 MWth combined cycle gas turbine unit in Siechnice,replacing the existing hard coal-fired plant at the south western Polishsite, the utility said June 23.The engineering, procurement and construction contract wassigned by PGE subsidiary, Elektrocieplownia WroclawskichKogeneracja, and a consortium of Polimex Mostostal and PolimexEnergetyka, PGE said.
