France-GB interconnector capacity value for April doubles year on year

Some 460 MW of April power capacity on the IFA1 interconnector from France to Great Britain sold at Eur16.28/MWh March 4, a doubling in value year on year reflecting a return to post-COVID demand levels and tightness in GB generation, data from the Joint Allocation Office showed. In the market, French power futures on EEX last settled at Eur42.31/MWh March 3, versus Eur50.36/MWh for the comparable GB contract.
