Ambitious Plan to reclaim 60 acres from Belfast Lough

The project, focusing on the seaward end of Victoria Terminal Four, is in the early stages of planning and the harbour is working with planning service and stakeholders to progress the planning application, with the objective being to support growth in the local economy over the next 20 to 30 years by enhancing port capacity. If given the green light, the project will be a major boost to the Northern Ireland construction sector in general and quarry operators, in particular, as it would involve up to six million tonnes of rock being used.
