First Scarab M65T Sweeper Here Cleaning Up in North Down

The M65T Twin Engine Road Sweeper has been designed specifically for the UK and European markets and is capable of being mounted onto virtually any internationally available 12 to 18 tonne GVW truck chassis. The 15 tonne model now in service around the North Down area is mounted on a DAF LF 250 chassis. The new Scarab M65T arrived in McCreath Taylor's yard in Lisburn at the beginning of September and was officially handed over to the council a couple of days later following pre-delivery inspection in the dealer's workshops. Incorporating all the benefits associated with Scarab equipment, the twin-engined M65T delivers outstanding performance in a variety of street environments, as operatives at Ards and North Down Council have quickly discovered. The sweeper has replaced an older Johnston model and is the first new machine to be bought since the council merger, a fact not lost on McCreath Taylor Managing Director David Johnston.
