Special issue; Titan, Saturn, and Saturn's Magnetosphere

摘要

In this special issue of Planetary and Space Science, we present 30 papers on the topic of Titan, Saturn, and Saturn's Magnetosphere. The original motivation for the issue was to support a set of books reviewing the state of Saturn system science. In order for those works to be true reviews, the results that they convey needed to have been published in the peer-reviewed literature. This special issue was designed to provide a directed avenue for that work to be reported. A conference was held to organize the chapters for the books. The event was hosted by Hunter Waite in Corpus Christi, TX, 2008 July 6-11. Many of the papers in the special issue began their lives as contributed posters to that conference.
