Ata time when events have caused the oil and gas industry to look closely at maintenance issues, and specifically flat temporary and permanent repairs, the reliability of composites' repair technology is increasingly attracting attention. In the light of its newly-introduced NVQ in composites'repair installation, FD Alliance's technical manager Dr Paul Hill looks at how and why inexperienced application can negate the value of even the best-designed composite repair, and the value of qualifications to demonstrate competence, given the importance of reliable, long-term performance.
