Work Under Way To Expand Pipeline

The North American Construction Group has begun work on Kinder Morgan Canada's approximately C$443 million Anchor Loop project that involves the construction and operation of a pipeline loop with two segments along the existing Trans Mountain pipeline right-of-way. Beginning west of Hinton, Alta. a 30-inch diameter pipeline will cover the 4.7-mile distance to Hinton and then extend another 94 miles to Rearguard, BC using 36-inch diameter pipeline. The larger diameter pipe will eliminate any foreseeable need for future expansion of the project along its route through rugged terrain in Jasper National Park and Mount Robson Provincial Park.
