The results described here have shown that repeatedly mounting the CUSM transducers at different circumferential locations was an effective method of mapping the flow. The results for the well-developed flow testing demonstrated the ability of the CUSM to detect subtle profile deviations that were confirmed by an independent measurement of the velocity profile using a wedge-type pressure probe.rnData collected with both disturbed and well-developed flow conditions indicated that measurements at multiple circumferential positions cannot be used to remove bias errors.
