Dresser-Rand points to its DATUM® ICS compressor, saying that the system is an integrated compression system (ICS) engineered with centrifugal separator technol- ogy to ernciently separate liquid trom me gas stream. Because there is no stand-alone separator, the process coolers, piping and valves can be condensed into an integrated compression module that substantially reduces the footprint by as much as 50%. D-R is in the process of making the DATUM ICS fit for service on the seafloor because the same features that provide value for topside applications will be enhanced in a subsea environment. D-R is planning to build a subsea model, eventually working with subsea integrators to perform qualification testing.
