AnsuR AnsuR announced the acquisition of Scandicraft, a developer of microdrones for surveillance and security purposes along such assets as rights of way. AnsuR said its new wholly owned company, BirdEye, will continue Scandicraft's development work in conjunction with AnsuR's real-time remote monitoring technology, to provide a cost-effective and reliable way of monitoring operations. AnsuR says its BirdEye microdrones are small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that can be used to monitor such assets as remote pipelines and compressor stations. Combined with AnsuR's ASIGN technology, which enables the real-time, rapid and reliable transfer of high definition images and video, and other sensory information, the UAVs are said to be the equivalent of using a manned rotary or fixed-wing aircraft but at significantly lower cost.
