The 35th National Association of Pipe Coating Applicators (NAPCA) Convention was held at The Registry Resort in Naples, FL, on April 10-14, with 290 members and guests from throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries in attendance. The popular annual event serves as a forum for pipe coating applicators, pipe coating material and equipment manufacturers and suppliers, providers of services, line pipe manufacturers, consulting firms and independent inspection firms to exchange ideas, explore business issues and concerns and discuss pipeline opportunities at home and abroad. Also at the event, John E. Pfeiffer, president, Commercial Coatings Services Inc., was elected president of NAPCA, succeeding Robert W. (Bob) Sigle, vice president of L.B. Foster Co.'s Tubular Products Group.
