Nordson Maintains Long-Standing NAPCA Involvement

For Nordson's Mike Streepey, his involvement with NAPCA goes back more than two decades. Early in his Nordson career, Streepey handled accounts involving applied decorative coatings, such as those for appliances, office furniture and lighting. However, after a few years he began to work with customers who required functional coatings. "I enjoy the challenges of new pipe coating applications and coming up with a solution that meets or exceeds those specifications," he said. One of the highlights of his career came not long after he joined Nordson and involved pipe coating booth collection units. The earlier systems used "bag houses" or "closed collection" systems, and were more susceptible to explosions and generated high face velocities that adversely affected the deposition of powder on pipe.
