摘要

Description of the setup for thermochemical nitriding of materials in NH_3+H_2 gas mixtures, designed at the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Moscow State University, is presented. The setup allows the required composition of nitrides in materials to be produced. It is established that the nuclear elastic backscattering of protons with am energy of 1.75-2.1 MeV can be used to measure the nitrogen distribution in the depth at nitrogen concentrations greater than several atomic percent.
