Two-neutron densities obtained from microscopic wave functions of 6He and 8He are investigated to revealndineutron correlations. In particular, the comparison of the two-neutron density with the product of one-neutronndensities is useful for a quantitative discussion of dineutron correlations. The calculations show that the S = 0nspatial two-neutron correlation increases at the surface of 6He(0+n1 ) and 8He(0+n2 ). The enhancement is remarkablenin the 6He(0+n1 ) ground state but not as prominent in the 8He(0+n1 ) ground state. Configurationmixing ofmany Slaterndeterminants is essential to describe the dineutron correlations. Two-neutron densities in 12C wave functions withnα-cluster structures are also studied.
